Comments
Comments: Trail was well packed, perfect for snowshoes, but I am hesitant to recommend microspikes. It's all packed powder, but it isn't frozen together. Near the summit, snow is still drifting into the trail or eroding the snowpack and leaving a monorail. We met 2 hikers coming down who both had microspikes and they warned of deep drifts and softness on the trail (before they noticed our snowshoes). No postholes yet, but they are coming soon... AMAZING views of Mt Washington!
