Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail is well broken out but still soft. Snowshoes with good traction are still the best option. Snowshoes were sufficient from Lakes of the Clouds Hut to the summit of Monroe; crampons were not needed. We were the second to last car to leave the lot today, and the trail was free of postholes on the way down, I'm happy to report. Thanks to those before us this weekend who broke out the trail! |
