Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found: 1) Brand new MSR Lightning Ascent (One!) between the Loop Split and the brook crossing prior to ascending North. May have been left there on purpose but it seemed really weird. Decided to leave it. 2) OR glove at the summit of North. Carried it out. E-mail if it is yours.

Comments
Comments: Trail is in poor condition. Very choppy until the Loop Split with infrequent postholes. The Loop tr. is badly postholed and quite awful. Only exception is that sections of the North end of the loop are slick from butt-sliding.

The vast majority of people on the trail today were carrying snowshoes but unable to use them. Perhaps they would have been usable by mid-to-late afternoon as the conditions softened.
