Comments: Lower elevations are very much spring time, and bare booting was the only way to go. Traction hitting either summit is recommend, but i'm not sure I'd bother with snowshoes. I brought mine and never wore them. Yes you will post hole...it is that time of year.

Rollins trail is really the only good section for snowshoes, and the right (walden trail) side of the summit loop to passaconaway is an absolute mess and I wouldn't bother with it. It is definitely spring on these southern peaks.
