Comments
Comments: Perfect day for Isolation. Trail was firm from overnight cold temperatures. Slight amount of new snow last night, but just a little blew right into the trail and had to be careful to watch your step and to navigate the trails.
Lower 500 ft of elevation: between zero and a foot of hard packed monorail remains
Above this the monorail is stable and becomes deeper.
EHB: Still pretty easy to navigate: monorail is stable.
Isolation Trail: deep monorail with easy navigation of the water streams. Same with river crossings.
Campsite BW: lots of branches to brush past your face, but easy to follow: monorail stable.
Davis Path: very windy today traversing to the summit. Little drifting in this area, with 6-8 inches of snow blown in on the final push up to the spur trail. Monorail stable.
Used micro spikes all day.
