4" or so of fresh powder led us to use snowshoes on the way up. Went to spikes for the summit as it was all ice & rock. Stuck with spikes on the way down. Some short stretches of ice prior to the junction heading toward Webster. Heavier traction might be useful in coming days of freeze/thaw cycles. Wicked nice day, not many people out taking advantage of great conditions. |
