| Water Crossing Notes: |
Rocky Branch is chock full o' water, so beware during any water crossing. It poured with rain as I was leaving the area, and the day was very warm to boot, so snow/ice bridges may have been weakened. |

| Comments: |
I had a lot of problems with snow balling underfoot with my Microspikes, so while snowshoes are not at all required to stay on top of the trail, they didn't have the balling problem. Snow is mashed potatoes throughout, so you'll slide around in various places anyway.
Pretty pictures and more granular notes on my blog. |
