Comments
Comments: #Crazyday. Excellent conditions until you got above tree line. The environment changed drastically at this point. Above the ladder on Eisenhower, high winds with whiteout conditions. Navigating was stressful.
First 1000ft of elevation: 2 inches on new snow with a somewhat wet base underneath. Not too bad!
Above 3000ft snow steadily increased in depth. In some places the snow was 6-8inches deep.
Going across to Eisenhower the conditions were all over the place. Snow, hard crust, snowdrifts, blue ice under the snow especially on the Eisenhower Loop Trail. Today was an #adventure for sure.
