Comments
Comments: BEAUTIFUL day for this hike despite the difficult (slippery, sloppy, sticky, sucky) snow conditions! Started w/ bare boots to Hancock Loop where most hikers changed to snowshoes. Snow was awful consistency as it "balled" on shoes & spikes; however due to depth & consistency you needed some grip & flotation. Snow depths on loop varied from 6"- 10" with a few deeper drifts. We wore shoes for the complete loop then bare booted back to car. Mashed potato snow for the walk out due to increasing temps & melting. AWESOME day out w/ my beautiful wife, Lisa!!!
