Comments
Comments: Out with Danielle so she could finish redlining the Red Hill Trails. We started with bare dry ground and shortly as we climbed patches of snow appeared. The trail up the cliff had patches of ice that were challenging to get up. Danielle put on her micro-spikes and she kept them on all day. After climbing the cliff we went down bypass and then climbed back up the cliff. Great views for modest effort here! We continued on found more snow that was thankfully well consolidated. Between the cliff and Red Hill there was nearly 9 inches of dense snow. Great views from the fire tower, perfect weather. We returned the way we had come, the Eagle Cliff trail, I was happy to be wearing boots since the top couple of inches of snow had gotten soft and wet. We took a left and descended the Teedie Trail, interesting stone wall and an old spring well we saw along the way. The Teedie Trailhead is very muddy and wet. The 4ths road walk back to the car went by quickly. Still ice on Squam Lake.
