| Comments: |
Beautiful warm windless day, trail in mostly smooth monorail condition, minimal postholes. Snow was a little crunchy in the morning but gradually turned into mashed potatoes, especially in the sun. Sosman trail not as solid due to lack of use, but still passable without postholing. Same can be said of part of the summit loop of the Mt. Tecumseh trail. (The right fork when ascending). This too was softer and not a real hard monorail, but we didn't really posthole. A little mud near the trailhead, especially on the way back. We stayed in Microspikes the whole day. Only saw 4 other people on the trail. Thanks to DD and Lone Wolf for a great hike. |
