| Lost and Found: |
One Yaktrax traction device is attached to the summit sign. Dunk n Donuts sugar wrapper, granola bar wrapper- took them both back to the parking lot as trash. A child found some sunglasses on the way up and was hoping to find the owner as they came down. |

| Comments: |
In the first hundred feet from the trailhead, patches of bare ground are appearing. Otherwise all of trail is snow covered. Snow is getting thin on lower third of trail as rocks are starting to appear.
Some ice on trail in a few places. Look for bypass options. Snow is no longer clean; it has twigs, needles, cones, and cone pieces all over the surface.
I put on MICROspikes at the trailhead, then after a short distance changed to snowshoes until the summit ledges where I dropped my pack and changed to 12 point full crampons for safety. Coming down I changed back to snowshoes just below the ledges.
Almost everyone I saw had MICROspikes, except one guy was starting from the trailhead with Petzel full crampons. One child was going up with rubber Bean Maine-type hunting shoes, and that's all he had !
Temperature at 7am was 32F, 64F when I got back to the car.
Sky was mostly clear with some high clouds.
Snow was frozen and firm when I started up and then later softened and turned to mashed potatoes where exposed to the sun. But just from the high temperatures, snow in the shade softened.
