Comments
Comments: Quick sunset stroll this evening. All consistent with WAUMBEK’s report from the other day. Trail clear and largely dry to just below the first crossing. Spiked up the rest of the way. Mixed conditions yielding to solid spring ice by the second crossing and well-packed snow from the third to Bald Peak. Many pockets of warm air suggest that “well-packed” may not hold for long. Really good going until it all turns to slush, though. Hello, spring!
