| Comments: |
Typical mixed Spring conditions with water on the trail, mud, icy patches and (very) unstable monorail mixed in with snow-free sections (the South Cliffs are snow-free). We decided to leave the snowshoes behind and ended up barebooting most of the way with the occasional use of micro-spikes on the steeper sections which had some icy patches. No choice of footwear is perfect and it is either going through numerous changes or endure with the choice made.
Great outing with Lady Di, The Schorman and Helle. We enjoyed the visit to the old mine where we found a decorated stone in a small rock-shelter. Must be significant to some people. We left it in place. |
