Lots of rock hopping at the beginning of the trail. No major crossings. |

Very wet and muddy start, transitioning into slushy snow, and then full snow near the summit of Mt. Starr King. Had microspikes with me, but never slipped enough to put them on. Stayed with heavy tread winter boots the whole way, and did just fine. Post-holed a few times near the top due to fresh powder, but nothing major. |
