Since the first crossing was very high, I opted to follow original trail and cut over to ski area. I took that bare boot up to view spot where you can pick up regular trail again. Microspikes went on at this point. Ice / monorail rest of way. The ice only lasted a few hundred yards and the stable monorail started up. Quick trip up and back so I could get home for commitments. Very windy on left heading up to summit. Great day. Lots of nice folks out. Ran into fellow GRID alumni, Becca and Georg. Some folks with no micros having a tough time on ice. They all must have skidded their way down. |
