The beginning of the Davis Path was flooded and needed a bushwack to get around, but once on the trail it was smooth sailing most of the way (if you don't mind a little water and mud). Mostly dry trail down below with some mud and water on the trail. The river crossings needed thought but were fine. About 1 mi from the top there was some ice/monorail in spots, but mostly clear. In the afternoon there was a lot of melting and the monorail was breaking up in spots and the snow was really softening up. Beautiful spring day in the Whites! |
