| Water Crossing Notes: |
Water is flowing nicely in all creeks and streams on Pond Loop Trail -- but nothing difficult to cross over. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Recent hardwood blowdown on Goose Pond Snowmobile Trail (Orange Trail) just south of intersection with Elwell Trail, easily bypassed/stepped over. Old hardwood blowdown on Pond Loop Trail at one of the creek crossings can make that crossing a bit of an issue because it blocks some of the stepping stones -- would help if this was removed.
Elwell Trail could use a small amount of maintenance brushing in some sections, where saplings are encroaching on the corridor. Erosion at the base of the steep section on Goose Pond Snowmobile Trail (Orange Trail), about 0.2 miles from trailhead, continues to erode from some of the recent rain events. |

| Comments: |
A fine day to be out -- saw one of the beaver family at the western end of Goose Pond. Always a treat when conditions are very quiet. |
