Hobble bush was plentiful, but leaves just starting so it was easy to see your feet and where to put them. Woods were very well mannered in general. I stayed mainly on ridge for ascent so as not to miss the peak, spruce was fairly thick as you approached high point. found the canister and signed in. I decided to drop down slope for hike back to the road to avoid the some of the thick spruce. There is quite a bit of birch hobble bush forest on north slope. I ended up going back to higher elevation to avoid the deeper hobble bush. Beautiful sunny day in the woods still cool cool enough to keep bugs down. There was still some snow up around summit in thick spruce. |
