Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hoppable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Holt Trail is in rough shape. Old blowdowns, blown out sections of trail, brushy, and not enough blazing. Hard to follow up high, even if you have a general knowledge of the trail, as the blazes have faded.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Please don't take your dogs up Holt. Saw claw marks on one of the steep ledges from where a poor hound slid.
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies were vexing down low, but not too bad elsewhere.

Comments
Comments: Steve Holt! Trail was generally dry with no snow or ice on the trail. A few sections of ledge were wet, but the friction climbs were dry.

Snow free and dry between the peaks.

A few small patches of ice on Manning, but avoidable at this point. Lots of trout lily blooming down low.
