| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking is fine, the road up has some deep ruts and jutting rocks. Best with a vehicle that has good clearance, like a truck or SUV. We have a Hyundai Accent and it was OK except for one rock we bounced off of. |

This trail is rough and heavily eroded once you get above the two fields at the beginning of the hike. It basically goes straight up, so in heavy rains I imagine it just fills up. One section the trail was about 2 feet below the grade on either side. Once past the summit the trail was much better, as it is not so steep. Definitely worth the trip to the south ledges. We did not go down to the iron mines due to time constraints. |
