I was glad to see the road gated! wow is it in tough shape. lots of holes, cave ins, wash outs, bulges and wrecked culverts! I walked the road about 45 minutes to a left just beyond a steel sided bridge. I took that road up till it went left , then I went straight thru a ditch and washout to better road beyond. I stayed on that road past a regrowth area on the left and when I could see a big white birch tree arching over the road I headed north toward the mountain. just before the ditch the mountain is very visible straight ahead. the bushwack went thru some wetness at first ,then good going, then steep with boulders and blowdowns. after some hobblebush the top 1/4 of the mountain was very good going to the flat and open summit. the jar is easily seen. 3 years ago there was no jar. on descent I went a little west and had a much smoother ride back to the two roads. good day out. |
