Comments
Comments: The trail was perfect from the parking lot all the way through Little Haystack, no snow at all. The trail takes a turn for the worse in between Haystack and Liberty - seemed like hundreds of blowdowns in combination with a patchy and unstable monorail that added a significant amount of time to our hike. Brought spikes but didn't use them because the snow was so soft - mostly walked on the side getting whacked by tree branches. Didn't see really anyone using spikes. Falling Water Trail was similar up at the top - we descended much of it holding onto tree branches while hopping along the sides. It was all worth it though - what a beautiful hike!
