| Comments: |
We had a mixed bag of weather on this. Clear & humid to start, significant rain by summit of Tom, light continued rain over to Field. Monorail is a mess (unstable & post-holing in areas, solid treacherous ice in others) all avoidable. Icy sections too short to require spikes. Much of the trails are clear or mud covered. Many chances for hikers to choose their poison on what they feel comfortable trekking on! By the time we reached Willey the rain had nearly stopped & we enjoyed a rain free hike down Ethan Pond Trail to Ripley Falls & out... LOTS of fun & laughs w/ Lisa and friends Tom & Donna!!! |
