| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Very limited roadside parking near the height of land on Mountain Road in Lyndeborough. The trail is not marked or signed in any way, but is very obvious. The landmark cow mailbox across the street has been replaced. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
A few minor drainages, no problem. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
HT is fine up to the loop junction. After that, both branches need some serious brushing, as the trail is growing in. I removed one minor blowdown on the snowmobile trail between Pinnacle and Lyndeborough Mt. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Sure. |
|
| Bugs: |
Black flies were gnarly even with big juice. I picked up three ticks on the way out. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Nothing. |

| Comments: |
A quick out and back to these two nice small peaks as I was limited on time. I skipped the side trip to Lyndeborough Mountain this time (there isn't really much there anyway). I had originally planned on bushwhacking along the way to cut off some of the meandering out of the way that the snowmobile trails do, but I decided to stick with them as I didn't want to be covered in ticks. :(
Dry trail all around. Nice directional vistas from both peaks, mainly looking toward Monadnock. The cairn garden on Rose is always neat to see and seems to change with each visit. |
