| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
bog bridges are in a major state of decay. Quite a shame. Some are like teeter-totters - be careful if you step on 1 end unevenly. Also, lots of predictable deadfall. Lots of drainage issues. |

lots of them |

| Bugs: |
surprisingly none - very fortunate as I forgot the DEET in the car |

| Comments: |
Very fun time - showers on and off so I wanted to get down relatively fast - only did East Osceola and then dubbed around the ponds. Went as far south as about a mile south of the south pond - took the old trail which is pretty much lost to the stream in the boggy area now, which is a shame as the re-route is HORRIBLE - like walking on a road without any character.... did I mention I really hate the re-route? Many times....
ANYWAY, the ponds were beautiful as usual. Quite the crowd at the north end of the north pond - someone was swimming in there - wonder about the leeches - maybe too early for them - ? I enjoyed lunch at the former shelter location - always super-pretty. |
