Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

Rock hop across a few brooks that were no problem |

A few minor blowdowns / step-overs on SMT between Jennings and Sandwich peak. Generally in pretty good condition otherwise. |

Saw one near Sandwich Dome, seemed pleased |

Negligible on the SMT due to cooler morning temps. Only saw some along Drakes (mainly mosquitos) in sections closer to the brook. |

Nice CCW loop of Jennings and Sandwich Dome. Saw 4 other people on the trail, the weather was cloudy and both peaks essentially socked in. 56 deg F on Sandwich Dome. Trails in good condition and easy enough to follow, including a minor reroute lower down on SMT. First hike of the year without carrying spikes with me. No signs of snow anywhere here. |
