Hiked this trail with my 7- and 9-year-olds. The weather was overcast but no rain. The trail was pretty dry and no visible snow or ice. The wind above tree-line at the summit was no joke. It was probably 20 degrees colder at the summit than the base with 25-30 mph winds. We were there just long enough to get a quick summit picture, have a very quick snack behind a rock wall, and get back into the trees to warm up. The clouds limited the view at the summit, and wind prevented us from really taking it in, but overall still a great hike. |
