Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues with the lower crossings, both easily hoppped.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: MWT is a very heavily traveled trail and is eroded in many spots due to foot traffic and water. Evidence of recent blowdown clearing, as well as from the Halloween storm of last year. We cleared one very minor blowdown near the abandoned Hitchcock Flume spur.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure.
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies out on the exposed sunny areas were pretty bad. Some wind helped.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We found a blanket just east of the summit ledges and carried it out.

Comments
Comments: A nice stroll up Willard to counter the rugged day before on Tremont. Trails were mostly dry, with some wet and muddy areas along the carriage road portion of MWT. From the ledges, we did the short open bushwhack to the high point of Willard's broad, flat summit. Back at the ledges, we followed the climber's path west to a quiet open ledge, away from the Thursday crowds. Moderate flow at Centennial Pool right now.
