We started off south following Ball Cap Rd, it’s an older washed out logging road for just over a mile and then turned southeast on an older woods road for about a ¼ mile that brought us to a log landing. At the southern end of this landing we picked up much overgrown logging road now herd path that brought us to the col between our destination and a bump to the south.

Once in the col we keep moving to its end to attack the summit south end to avoid some the steep cliffs and of course look for moose antlers. At the end of the col we turned north and crossed a marshy swamp and started the climb. We ended up hitting those cliff bands we tried to avoid, but it wasn’t too bad. Once on top we were rewarding with another day of great views. We keep moving and hit the summit and recognized high point.
