Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were rock-hopped with care
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Cascade Brook Tr needs some brushing down low, otherwise it is in great shape. Kinsman Pond Tr is nice in the lower sections, but up high it is a real mess. Lots of water running down the trail for long sections make for slippery and tedious going. Mud, standing water everywhere. The only good thing is that the blazing is very good and this makes the trip bearable. The sign for the Basin Cascade Tr at the junction of the Cascade Brook Tr is missing. However, it is obvious from the blue blazes.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I don't think dogs would like this, but there is plenty of water available for them.
Bugs
Bugs: Not very bad. It was windy up high.

Comments
Comments: I met the Kinsman Pond caretaker on the trail and he said there had been some bad storm damage this past fall and that was the reason for the trail conditions.

I would not recommend this trail until later this summer when things are drier.
