Water Crossing Notes: Small crossing easy Rock hop
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A number of blowdowns on the section once you leave the road, there are three that are blocking the trail. There are also a dozen mostly old stepovers.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Would be a great trail for the canines. Easy grades all the way. Not a lot of water along the trail so bring some for the canines.
Bugs
Bugs: Out in force today! There is a lot of vegetation encroaching on the trail so this is prime tick territory so bug spray is a must.

Comments
Comments: Decided to check out the other side of the slippery brook trail. For those looking for a leisurely hike, this trail fits the bill. The grades are easy all the way up. Though you spend a couple of miles on the road the trail has that way out in the woods feel. There are arrows on the road that point the way at turns and to direct you off the road into the woods. The trail doesn't see a lot of traffic and there are no blazes marking the way but the trail itself obvious. Trail itself was dry with a few spots of mud. Highly recommend this approach to Eastman.
