Comments
Comments: Hike up to Adams summit was great! For the first mile, there are so many caterpillars on the ground and in trees that you can hear them chewing leaves (sounds like sprinkling rain). All blowdowns (looks like there were a lot this winter) have been cleared from Airline. Only a couple sections of the trail had mud/standing water but all was avoidable. Once above tree line, wind stronger and stronger to summit (felt like 45 deg F on North side of summit, 75 deg F right on the other (South) side) -- bring layers!!
