Gorgeous day on Smarts. Fire tower is open. Door is quite heavy, so give it a good shove. Also note that it does NOT stay open on it's own, so don't let it go or you'll get a good knock to the noggin. Saw a smattering of 18 Lady Slippers around mile 3. Also ran into a tiny salamander, a snake, and hundreds of chipmunks and squirrels. Started at 8:30am and ran into no one until I was well on my way down. |
