| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Access road is closed! Adds 2 miles each way from 302 to trailhead on Sawyer River Rd. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Rock hopping, very easy, very shallow water |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Easy to follow trail. Appears as though some trail maintenance has been done in spots. The muddy areas toward the beginning need some fresh logs/stones, but it’s easy enough to hop around. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I brought mine - totally fine. Passed one other. Most water is at the bottom (one mossy rock wall about 2/3 the way up had some clear water trickling out where we refilled, but I would bring water for pup just in case that dries up. |
| Bugs: |
Nuisance at the top under the fire tower. Wind kept them away on top of the fire tower. Not too bad on the trail. |

| Lost and Found: |

| Comments: |
Not many people on this trail, possibly because the closed access road makes it a 14 mile journey. Views are incredible once you get to the ridge and from atop the fire tower. |
