It started out oppressively hot the first mile but then got a breeze. Bringing a lot of water was a necessity. Dipped my head in a brook which helped cool me.
This was the first time my friend and I had taken this trail to summit. Lovely trail in the woods. Didn't see anyone else on the ascent. Last half a mile was quite steep. Views from the summit were amazing and inspiring. |
