Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Thanks to all the work done clearing trees near Mizpah Hut; looks like it must have been quite a mess. Also the AMC crew was hard at today in the heat and on holiday with continuing work on the Crawford Path. Lots of nice work to date. Also material to replace bog bridges in between Pierce and Eisenhower is up there.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes biting while stopping at Bugle Cliff so used spray as to not deal with them.

Comments
Comments: Early start to beat heat. Climb to Jackson still in the shade early. Got fairly warm as not much breeze and quite a lot of sun. Rather quiet trails today. Hats off to the four Mizpah Croo hauling supplies up on this hot day; hope the hut users tip them well; they've earned it. Hopefully Crawford Path will end up somewhat restored; one of workers said several groups (RMC,AMC etc.) had been working on it as 200th anniversary coming up.
