Mid-day hike with my Dad to Lake Solitude. The Andrew Brook Trail, although rocky in spots, was a nice, steady route to Lake Solitude. The herd path around the lake was lightly trodden in spots, but not hard to follow. The portion of the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway that followed the lake shoreline was very scenic, with rock overhangs and outcroppings scattered about, many of which offered panoramic views of the lake. Lots of people out enjoying the first full day in weeks that wasn't a scorcher, and I'm glad we did this particular hike! |
