Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is a tough trail for dogs and you need to be prepared. I have a smallish dog who loves to climb rocks. She was struggling with the heat on the way up, until she hit the ledges at the top, when she came to life and just bounded up rock faces that we humans were clinging to for our lives. She has a harness with 3 straps and a handle that I use to lift her up spots that are too high for her. I also had a good leash with a clasp that would have been strong enough to hold her is she'd needed to be pulled up, along with some rope. I used the leash to keep her safe when it was steep. She did well on the way down except that I ran out of water for her, despite carrying 2 containers and a full bladder in my pack.
Bugs
Bugs: Not a problem although they come out in the flat part at the beginning of the Daicy Mill trail.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I lost my prescription glasses on the Rollins Trail. I tried going back to find them but couldn't retrace the whole trail. If anyone finds them, please contact me at Tim.belcher1@mac.com.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful hike but requires actual climbing on rock faces. Nothing that requires ropes of technical gear, but definitely some upper body strength and an idea how to climb. The Rollins trail over the ridge is a real treat. As mentioned above, know your dog and pack water.
