Water Crossing Notes: Torrential rains on 8/4 left a lot of water running off the mountain. Water crossings may not exist most of the time! Just a few easy hops across run off. Embrace the mud.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in great shape considering all the water.
Dog-Related Notes

Comments
Comments: Always surprised at how long the Valley Way seems - both ways! The ascent up the Star Lake Trail to the summit at Adams was challenging near the end -- thankful for the dry, sticky rock hand holds! Coming down the .3 Lowes Path a rock hopping puzzle! Madison looks intimidating from the Hut but we were up to the summit in no time. Happy to have left our packs at the Hut and carried only water and a phone!
