Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Dry River cutoff and Isolation west were in better shape than I expected. Thank you to the person/persons who cleared the blowdowns on dry river cutoff. A lot of work was done back there. The junction of Dry River cutoff and Isolation West was destroyed after hurricane Irene and it remains so. Difficult to find the trail but once on it, it was easy enough to follow. The lower sections are hanging on by a thread along the river but once the trail diverges from the river it is in beautiful shape. So beautiful back there.

Comments: A long day but a beautiful route and hardly saw anyone all day...mainly just AT thru hikers. If you want a route off the beaten path, this is it.
