| Comments: |
A quick little loop from Willey house to Ripley falls and back. Took sam willey/saco river to get over and found the new westside trail and took it back - the westside is listed in the 30th edition of the guide but is not yet on the maps - Trailhead leaves ripley falls road at its junction with 302 and is signed. With exception of westside all trails in great shape. The new westside trail was a fun way to get back - it is more rugged than the other trails in the area with lots of little ups and downs before linking with the kendron flume trail, trail bed is not clear in a few spots and there were numerous blowdowns large and small which in places push you off the trail to get around. Regardless it is easy to follow with frequent blazes. |
