Lovely hike to a NH500 peak. Really cool beaver pond and beaver dam down low. View ledges up near the summit. Nice map can be had by visiting the website for the Harris Center for Conservation Education. The map shows the trail ending at the Kulish Ledges Viewpoints, and we thought we'd be in for a short bushwhack, but there is a trail all the way to the top of Osgood Hill. At the summit there is a jar hidden in the trees. Picnic table. And interestingly, a sign calling the mountain "BlackTop." 2.13 mi. one way. Nice day out with Bill C., Schorman and Lady Di. |
