Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in good shape, but the color blazes make them a bit confusing. We were on the Lynn's Loop which the map shows as a red trail, but it was blazed with blue and yellow. There are arrow blazes too, they will point you in the right direction. Make sure you have a map with you. You can download them online.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Dogs are welcome and we did see a few.
Bugs
Bugs: Surprisingly we saw none, including ticks. It was nice. :)
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We found a ski tuning kit that probably had been there for a while, we left it it the parking lot by the trail entrance.

Comments
Comments: We love being on top of mountains and being inside mines. Tin Mountain offers both of those things. The mountain is only 2031' high and would offer much better views during fall when there are no leaves, but it was still a great hike with some peek-a-boo views. The mine was worked for tin, hence the name of the mountain. It's not the biggest or the smallest we have ever been in, but still high on the cool factor. LOL
It was a perfect day for a hike, no humidity for a change and the mountain was not overly busy. We only saw a few other people all day. Consider this mountain to be more of a half day hike, it does not take very long and we did hike almost all the trails on our journey.
We did post a video of our adventure on the mountain if anyone is curious what the hike is like. Just click the link...
