Highly recommend you get the Trail Bandit map of the Ossipee Mountains for this hike, google Trail Bandit, Bob Garrison. Thanks Bob. I was alone most of the day and your map really helped out.

7.7 miles, 2500 feet elevation gain. Having spent the last couple months on the Belknap Range, this hike was a great way to test my conditioning before getting back into 4000 footers. That final assault on Black Snout had me panting like a dog. Now have that wonderful deep calm feeling. Will return on a clearer day for the views.
