Parked on Ore Hill Road right next to the power lines. Road is pretty narrow so crossed our fingers that noone would come up/down as we drove through. |

One dry culvert just next to the parking lot, easily crossed |

Powerline trail goes through tall grass and flowers which have been squashed down by hikers and possible infrequent ATV's; snowmobile trail is wide and clear, mostly dirt but becoming grassier as it reaches the cabins; bushwhack not too bad through fairly open woods. |

Our second visit to Sentinel Mountain, although the first when we were seeking the RHP. Hiked up the power line trail which although fairly grassy is still pretty obvious. Basically three ups with one fairly good descent after the first one. Good views today even with predominant overcast skies. Last time it was sunny and we could see forever! Found the snowmobile trail mentioned by Bryan, just south and slightly downhill from the power line's highpoint. Followed it into the woods on our right until we reached two cabins, seemingly a rest stop for the local snowmobile club. Took our heading towards the RHP after going behind the cabins. Our route was about .2 miles through fairly clear woods to a rocky knob where we found the white prescription bottle hanging high in a tree. Last entry was May 2018. Signed in then bushwhacked back to the cabins, and snowmobile trail, and power line trail, and down to the car. Nice temps today! |
