Comments
Comments: We started up the snowmobile trail, always listening for those machines. This part is groomed so the going was easy. The Blueberry Pasture trail was also used by snowmobiles but not groomed. The easy walking ended just below the summit of Straightback where the snowmobiles turn around. We broke out the trail from there. 2-3 feet of powder with sometimes thigh high drifts. Luckily there were 13 of us and a couple of people who wanted to be up front. We had to keep and eye out for the blue blazes and occassional top of a rock cairn. But we found our way over to Anna (with maybe an occasional off trail). The trail is well tracked out now, it was a lot easier to be at the back. We made a loop over Anna and then down the Red Trail back to the cars. Beautiful day, everyone had a great time.
