The trail had been packed before the recent snow, so we had to pack out only about 4 inches of new powder that increased to 10" higher up. Only occasionally had the trail been covered by snow drifts but we always were able to see blazes to keep us on the trail. Enjoyed the amazing winter wonderland up high. Trail is in good shape now though it will probably be covered in places between Starr King and Waumbek. |
