Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Room for a few cars at the end of Baker Rd. Baker Rd's street sign is down; but the Cube Mountain Products sign is right there. We left my car in Quintown at a widening in the road where the plowed section continues right (it can hold 2-3 cars) and we walked back to it a few hundred feet up from where the road and snowmobile path intersect.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Cross Rivendale in good shape. Kodak had a few major blowdowns (walk around & duckunder) on it for the stretch we were on it, and could use a brushing in places.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The mighty tough little dog worked hard today, as he turned into a snowball schnauzer. What a trooper. Sadie, a delightful golden retriever, had a ball running all over the place. She iced up some but not too bad.

Comments
Comments: The hike up Cross Rivendale from Baker Road was an easy and delightful snowshoe up gentle grades on a path that has been packed this winter. Today one person had been up before us but the trail should be well packed now with others following us. The Kodak trail appeared to have been unused for quite some time, but it was fun snowhoeing. There was maybe 6-8" new powdery snow on it, much less than at home. We lost it part way down (we weren't paying attention) and decided to just bushwack through the hardwoods in a more direct route to the car, and found a skid road that led to the haul road/snowmobile trail and walked out on it. It was mostly cloudy and the winds were chilly on top, but the peak and several places on the Kodak trail had great views. Fun snowshoe on and off trail. I had the best companions today, Sharon, Sadie and of course Pepper. This is a great loop.
