My first time on the mountain. Some rock tips and roots sticking barely through the snow surface up to about 2,500 ft then completely covered in beautiful powder. We saw 3 back-country skiers enjoying the amazing conditions. I slid down on my sled on and off for over a mile. Beautiful views from the best "fire tower" I've ever been in. It was a warm, sunny, large room with 360 degree views - considering this and the mostly gradual trail I would recommended this hike to beginning winter hikers. |
